Hello, I'm
Rick Boyer
Senior Android Developer / Architect

I love programming, that’s what I do! I started coding when I was 11, then Windows development (professionally) for 20 years… I used to do Windows CE programming back when it first came out and jumped on the Windows Phone beta. Then, in 2011, on a crowded train in Manila, I lost my Windows Phone. I had no luck finding a replacement, so I went with an Android first. I loved it! It was everything I had loved about the older Windows CE platform, but with (at that time) modern hardware! I loved the Android ecosystem and moved to Android development full-time.
Five years later, I’ve:
Over 20 years of professional software development experience, now focusing exclusively on Android!
Expert, 5 years

Expert, 5 years
Advanced, 1.5 years
Skilled, 1 year
As a Senior Software Engineer, with over 20 years of professional software development experience, I have developed on multiple platforms including Windows, Web and Mobile (including Android, Windows Phone and Windows CE) My passion has always been the mobile so I now focus exclusively on Android development! From my experience with small Startups to very large companies, I find the Startup environment the most exciting and where my contribution can really make a difference.
Consulting has given me an exciting opportunity to help small companies who need an Android Expert, but don’t yet have the resources for their own development staff. If you have Android questions, but don’t know where to start, send me a message and I’ll be happy to give you some direction, free of charge. Even if I’m not the best fit, I may be able to point you to someone I know.
